I know when most people think of Vail, they think skiing, snowboarding and other winter activities. However, Vail offers activities for everyone year round. Last week I mentioned that the golf season is already in full-swing and that the hiking season has just begun. In addition to golfing and hiking, Vail visitors can go white water rafting, kayaking, horseback riding and fishing. What activities do you like to do in Vail?

A recent article in the USA Today had some good news for the real estate market. Across the U.S. there are fewer homes for sale. Combine the decline in inventory with improving sales and you will see an increase in prices. Existing home sales were down 22% from last year and first-quarter home sales were up 5.3%. This is great news for the real estate industry!

Economists say the housing market is beginning to resemble the “normal” market in years past. Prices rose slightly in March and experts predict that after several years of declining prices, formerly reluctant sellers will increasingly list their properties. Buyers should follow. Statistics indicate that now is the time to act. Buyers should enter the market before prices jump. And, sellers can benefit from limited inventory. Low Snow Levels Bring an Early Golf Season to Vail

Last week, I mentioned that the Beaver Creek Golf Club is opening on Friday, May 11^th. They are not alone. Vail Golf Club opened this weekend. They were the last public course in the valley open. Thanks to a dry winter and a warm spring, vacationers and locals can enjoy golf weeks earlier than normal. I am really looking forward to golfing this season. How about you?

Can you believe that 2012-13 Season Ski Passes are already on sale? I already purchased mine, guaranteeing me the lowest price. However, I am really excited about everything Vail has to offer during the Spring and Summer season. Hiking is my favorite. Beaver Creek Golf Club

The Beaver Creek Golf Club, nestled against the slopes of Beaver Creek Mountain, is one of the longest established golf courses in the Vail Valley. Their summer season for opens on May 11. They are offering public play from May 11- June 14 and September 16-October 7. During early season, rates are only $92 for 18 holes.

Beaver Creek Golf Club is gorgeous. It inspires me to take up golf this season. Any one have club recommendations?
